Well friends, we survived the Great Stomach Virus of ’12.
Turkey tasted so good today after 24 hours of nothing. We had to take it easy but we did get to see family. Poor K still has an allergy cough and didn’t eat much but played well. I was very happy to get my baby E back today.
She enjoyed her food too…
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
Thanks and ditto.
I hope you enjoyed the parade today. We enviously watched from my in-laws’ living room. 😉
Thanks, we did. My son complained of the cold, but it was well worth it.
I bet it was amazing. Texas is a very different place from New York I would imagine. We played outside in short sleeves after lunch. My son was very happy to see Buzz Lightyear and Santa in the parade. Little E pointed out Dora and I think she also pointed out a duck.
It sounds like you had a great time at a parade.
I would be happy to change weather patterns.
You say that now. This is the pleasant part of our weather pattern. The never ending 100+ days of summer are the ones I would trade for some northern weather. I was pregnant with baby E during the hottest summer ever- as in ever recorded in Texas. (A fact that will come up in motherly guilt trips when she is a teen rolling her eyes at me.)
Very true.
Funny – give the kid a break. Are you allowed to plan the guilt in advance? Check the rulebook. My wife occasionally makes a comment about how she carrying them for nine months.
I’ve heard about being almost two weeks late my entire life. Oh, and barfing on my mom right before her cousin/best friend’s wedding. I figure anything is fair in the maternal guilt play book. “I carried you during the hottest summer ever.” “I wiped your little bottom for three years, the least you could do is…” “Do you think laundry magically cleans and folds itself?” Yep, I’m ready.
