A Quiet Love Story

on August 5, 2013

Ok Hollywood, you can keep your big flashy love stories.

I don’t need running through a crowded airport.

I don’t need kissing in the rain.

I don’t need a dramatic fight scene.

Or a love triangle.

You can keep it all.

I like my quiet love story.

Sometimes love just looks like a husband of six years hanging diapers out to sun so you can rest your pregnant feet.

  1. So true! Nothing greater than a man helping out like that! 🙂

    • I’m still a sappy girl. I like my movies. But I don’t think we should compare our love stories to them. I seriously doubt Prince Charming ever helped Cinderella change diapers and fold laundry. Plus falling in love is so much more transient that CHOSING daily to love someone.

Oh baby!! Seriously – nothing is better than a man doing housework or helping with a baby. Nothing!

  3. Oh man. My man looks his sexiest when he is doing the dishes. Mreow!!!

I think my favourite part of this picture is the hole in the butt of his blue jeans (I swear I wasn’t looking at his butt, I just notice these things). It makes him more relatable. That “real” man who doesn’t need the fanciest, newest things. He’s likes what he has, and what he’s comfortable with. 🙂

“I like my quiet love story” <– This is beautiful. 🙂

My favorite is watching my hubby play with the kids…that desire to connect with them and make them smile even after a long, hard day. Good husbands are such a blessing!
